Composed of Basile Ferriot (drums), Benjamin Jarry (electric bass) and Julien Letallec (electric guitar), Moesgaard was a post-rock band from the early 2000s based in Nantes (France). The trio built an original instrumental repertoire, characterized by both noise and ethereal production, with highly rhythmic and complex structures. The band performed a dozen times in public and shared the stage with bands such as Moller Plesset (Rennes) and Battles (USA). In 2004, Moesgaard recorded its self-titled album and then split up soon after.
"We were very happy with the recording, but less happy with the mixing that was done at the time. We retrieved the sessions and our friend and sound engineer Benoît Courribet finally remixed the entire disc, which now sounds the closest to what we wanted. This album is the only testimony of our existence." 

It is this demanding work that the Association Dissociation label has decided to share and make available to the public today.

Composé de Basile Ferriot (batterie), Benjamin Jarry (basse électrique) et Julien Letallec (guitare électrique), Moesgaard est un groupe de post-rock qui a œuvré à Nantes au début des années 2000.
Le trio construit alors un répertoire instrumental original aux équilibres instables, caractérisé par une production à la fois noise et éthérée, par des rythmiques et des structures complexes. Il se produit une dizaine de fois en public, et partage la scène avec des groupes comme Moller Plesset (Rennes) ou encore Battles (USA). En 2004, Moesgaard enregistre son album éponyme puis se sépare peu de temps après.
« Nous étions très heureux de l'enregistrement, mais moins du mixage qui avait été fait à l'époque. Nous avons récupéré les sessions auprès de Miguel Constantino, et notre ami et ingénieur du son Benoît Courribet a finalement remixé intégralement le disque, qui sonne maintenant au plus près de ce que nous souhaitions. Cet album est l'unique témoignage de notre existence. »  
C'est ce travail exigeant que le label de l’Association Dissociation a décidé aujourd’hui de faire connaître et de partager.
